The Welsh Assembly Government on behalf of the Welsh Ministers is seeking to engage with companies to undertake surveying and mapping of wild mammals and birds with the aim to control and eventually eradicate disease within farmed livestock. At the same time determining whether the population of a particular species is changing with time.

Surveying and mapping will be undertaken using established and standardised surveying methods, protocols or a transect survey. Either method will need to be agreed in advance to ensure that this activity is co-coordinated, effective and delivered to the prescribed expectations.
