The purpose of the project: a partnership between public policy actors and the the County of Møre og Romsdal would like to map regional competitive advantages and barriers to the green transition and business development in Møre og Romsdal. Based on mobilisation processes throughout the county, the goal is to identify a portfolio of green and circular projects with the greatest growth and scaling potential in Møre og Romsdal, which will form the basis for the final report and further work in the partnership. The portfolio will consist of specific projects that can be realised by the industrial milieu by 2030 and have positive ripple effects towards 2050. The project has the working title: Møre Towards 30-50.
Overall, Møre Towards 30-50 will lay the foundation for the realisation of the projects through the development of regional planning tools, management practices, support schemes, knowledge and expertise, and the regional knowledge base will provide input to national policy formulation.
Background for the project: Climate challenges require rapid development and use of climate-friendly solutions in business and society. Norway's goal of cutting emissions by 55 percent by 2030, achieving green value creation and increasing exports by 50 percent requires new regional measures and effective policy design.
The project is designed in dialogue with Vestland and Innlandet counties and the reference projects Green Region Vestland and the Innland Portfolio. It is preferable to carry out a similar mobilisation project that is open in regards to which thematic initiatives are to be given special focus. As an example, Green Region Vestland identified hubs for industrial symbiosis, green infrastructure and transferable values between value chains as important success criteria for green growth in their region. Inspired by Vestland County, this project aims to identify foundations of expertise and opportunities for synergies and circular models in Møre og Romsdal. The focus will be on companies, customers and suppliers and the synergies between them.
The Contracting Authority assumes that the Tenderer will use the existing knowledge base for its delivery. For more information, see the tender documentation and requirements specification.
