Description:
Framework contract for maintenance and repair of fire dampers

The execution of services for the maintenance of fire dampers on ventilation and air-conditioning systems is put out to tender for the objects and properties of Cologne/Bonn Airport.

This also includes repair work on the fire dampers and adjacent air distribution systems as part of maintenance, such as the replacement of seals, canvas nozzles or flexible ventilation ducts,

which are optionally commissioned and remunerated independently of maintenance. The bidder must therefore be able to carry out repairs in addition to the commissioned maintenance services.

The fire dampers are to be maintained in coordination with the specialist department. At the beginning of a contract year, the Contractor and the Client shall jointly agree on the expected and planned maintenance services. Repair services are coordinated according to the respective maintenance and scheduled on a case-by-case basis.

The aim is to obtain a framework agreement with two contracting parties.

The tender is divided into two lots. The bid can only be made on one lot and is based on the offer with the cheapest price for the respective lot. Each lot is evaluated individually. If a bidder offers the cheapest for both lots,

price, this tenderer shall be awarded Lot 1 and the contract for Lot 2 shall be awarded to the second most favourable bidder for Lot 2.

Maintenance and repair of the fire dampers

The Contractor shall carry out maintenance on the fire dampers for the purpose of operational readiness and operational safety, including the cleaning of all functionally important parts as well as the control and functional testing to the extent required by the respective manufacturer.

Maintenance is carried out in accordance with DIN 31051 and VDMA as well as AMEV recommendations, supplemented by client-specific specifications and includes the following points in particular:

- Inspection according to VDMA 24176;

- Maintenance in accordance with the manufacturer's guidelines and specifications specific to the respective fire damper and the VDMA standard sheets 24186 Part 3;

- If necessary, reversible ceilings and floors must be opened and closed by the contractor;

- Fusible solders must be visually inspected during maintenance, and they must be replaced in the event of recognizable damage or fatigue cracks;

- the inside of the housing/flap blade must be visually inspected for impurities and damage by means of a mirror; If necessary, remove deposits from the housing and damper blade, repair loose seals if any;

- Manually release the flap. Check the release and snap-in device for contamination and function. If necessary, clean and spray the trigger mechanism with penetrating oil. The flap must close by its own weight and lock in the "closed" position without play. Put the flap in the "open" position and make sure it locks;

- In the case of fire dampers with a smoke release device, this must also be checked in accordance with the manufacturer's documents/guidelines;

- If additional tests are necessary according to the approval/manufacturer's instructions, these must also be included;

- minor repair work and

- Testing of damper actuators, limit switches.
