A third-party business programme for the car business was established autumn 2018. The objective was to mobilise the employers, employees and authorities to jointly document and implement measures for challenges in related to working conditions and environment that are jointly identified and acknowledged.

The objective of the assignment is to develop new approaches and measures that can contribute to better results than the authorities and the parties are achieving individually.

In order to achieve the best possible knowledge base for further efforts, the business sector programme wants to implement a research assignment that describes and compare the conditions for various parts of the business, which target groups are most suitable for measures and which measures are considered the most efficient. Indicators shall also be developed for measuring changes over time.
