Framework agreement for the placement of interpreting services for the Social Department of the City of Munich and the Jobcenter Munich for various languages

The contractor must be able to provide at least 15 interpreters per day.

Albanian, Amharic, Arabic, Bosnian, Bulgarian, Chinese, Dari, English, Farsi, French, Greek, Hindi, Italian, Croatian, Kurdish (Bahdini, Kurmanci, Sorani), Macedonian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Somali, Spanish, Tamil, Thai, Tigrinia, Czech, Turkish, Ukrainian, Hungarian, Urdu.

Depending on availability, other languages can be called up from the contractor at the same conditions.

Locations are the Office for Housing and Migration, as well as other offices and places of employment of the social department, in particular the social citizen houses, the job center Munich, locations of external agents commissioned by the social department, locations of doctors and experts commissioned by the social department. In addition, interpreting assignments take place as part of home visits to citizens, etc.

The interpreters translate conversations with clients of the client in presence, by telephone or video conference from the respective foreign language neutrally, flawlessly and transparently orally into the German language and vice versa (official documents, such as certificates, official mail, medical reports, etc. are generally not translated in writing). Mainly presence assignments are needed.

In special cases (e.g. application SGB II and SGB XII, in the context of youth welfare, etc.), the interpreters must master the legal terms in German and the respective foreign language.

The contract period begins with the award of the contract, at the earliest on 01.04.2023 and ends on 31.12.2023.

The client reserves the right to an optional extension of the contract until 31.12.2024. The contractor will be informed in writing about a possible optional order by 30 November 2023 at the latest.

Up to a maximum of 20,625 hours of interpreting services will be called up by the social department until 31.12.2023.

In the event of an optional extension of the framework contract from 01.01.2024 to 31.12.2024, up to a maximum of 27,375 hours of interpreting services will be called up by the social department within the twelve-month extension period.

The contractor is not entitled to exhaust these hours.

The contractor shall submit an extended official certificate of good conduct to the client as soon as possible, but no later than four weeks after the contract has been awarded for the interpreters used.
