The Finnish Forest Centre requests applications for participation in Metsä.fi 2.0 application delivery, support service, maintenance and further development, in the basis of applications for participation in negotiations will be called up to a maximum of 3 companies.
The application being acquired will replace the existing Finnish Forest Centre Metsä.fi service. The application enables property owner (individuals) and operator customers (users representing forestry companies) to learn about forest reserve and habitat data and manage forestry issues, including government affairs. The service activates users to make decisions about the management and use of their forest property independently or in conjunction with a forestry operator.
According to current data, the new application is affected by the new forestry incentive scheme (Metka), which comes into force on 1 June 2023. The application shall be able to submit applications for Metka seedling and young forest management and health fertilisation work species as soon as possible after the entry into force of the Act, but no later than 1 January 2024. Similarly, the entire content of the delivery project should be completed by 1 January 2024.
Other applications in accordance with Metka's working species and the submission of forest use notices will be carried out in the further development phase starting after the delivery project. The submission of moose damage notices, as well as the application for reforestation aid, will also be carried out at that time. In addition, numerous other functionality related to business and experience are implemented, as provisionally described in Annex A1.8 The preliminary functionality of the further development phase. The provision must be made for the implementation of the functionality in the description already at the procurement stage so that the selected solution does not exclude them at a later date.
