The special school Sankt-Martin-Schule, Am Wäldele 28, 88161 Lindenberg im Allgäu is to be expanded due to the increasing number of pupils. Currently, based on the current figures, at least 92-95 students must be expected at the beginning of the 2023/24 school year, and the trend continues to rise. According to the current status and based on 12 classes, this would correspond to an extension of 4 classrooms (plus 2 group rooms and ancillary rooms, elevator, etc.). The Lindau District Office has already carried out a feasibility study on this. The result of this is currently the only sensible option for the extension or addition of storeys to the school building in a southwesterly direction. Due to the static conditions, the extension is to be realized in timber construction.

The subject of the contract are services of object planning buildings and interiors in accordance with § 33 ff HOAI 2021, LPH 1 to 9 in the case of step-by-step commissioning.

Possibly. various special services will also be commissioned, in particular:

- in LPH 2: Preparation of an in-depth cost estimate (3rd level of detail),

- in LPH 3-5: Preparation and updating of an in-depth cost calculation (3rd level of structure) including division according to individual trades,

- in LPH 9: Monitoring the rectification of defects within the limitation period

It is a support center with a focus on mental development, for children aged 6 to about 18 years.

In addition, an externally organized, but secured school preparatory facility is integrated into the building.

The collection dates back to 1972, an expansion from 4 to 8 classes took place around 2008.

Now, as part of this VgV procedure, the planning services for an extension in timber construction are to be put out to tender in order to realize 4 additional classrooms, plus ancillary rooms. In doing so, the connection to the existing building must be created and a structural strengthening of the auditorium located under the extension is required. According to the present feasibility study, the extension will comprise a GFA of approx. 1,100m² and a BRI of approx. 3,850m³. The results of the feasibility study are to be coordinated with the political bodies and implemented.

The space program is coordinated with the funding body. The eligible usable area is (depending on the design) approx. 550m².

Funding will be applied for.

The guidelines for economic construction in the district of Lindau are prescribed, and the requirements of accessibility must be met.

The office that prepared the feasibility study is considered to be the pre-commissioned applicant. In the event that the office concerned should apply and be invited to the award negotiation, the documents shall be made available by the contracting authority to all participants in the procurement negotiation in order to bring all bidders up to the same level of information.

Even without the participation of the previous office, the documents will be made available to bidders in the best possible way.

Timeline:

The award negotiation is expected to take place in mid/late September 2023. The award of the contract and the immediate start of the project is scheduled for the end of October 2023. The grant application must be submitted by September 2024 at the latest, the building application in November 2024.

Construction is scheduled to begin in July 2025. Completion / commissioning is scheduled for the beginning of the 2026/2027 school year.
