The BMZ data centre is to be housed in a container facility located in the courtyard between the Deutschlandhaus and the Europahaus (Stresemannstr. 94, 10963 Berlin). The useful life depends on the plans and construction progress of the future BMZ new building. The full commissioning of the container data center is expected to take place on July 19, 2023. Two server containers, a technology container and a container with a power supply system are to be set up.
The servers from the existing data center must be moved into the server containers and installed with server cabinets from Rittal, which are to be obtained from the existing framework agreement of the BMI Procurement Office (RV No. 20664).
General aspects:
The project is subject to particular attention to sustainability and environmental requirements. The SOW will contain detailed requirements for individual components:
- The tenderer is invited to comment on the maturity of implementation of sustainability aspects in his organisation. This can be done by means of a declaration or proof of certifications.
- The consideration of the sustainability aspects related to the project, such as greenhouse gas emissions, grey emissions and life cycle costs along the entire value chain as well as the Requirements of the Blue Angel and the Eco-Design Directive, are carried out in the course of the evaluation. A concept for the sustainable post-use of the containers by the bidder is desirable and can be provided.
