Within the PNRR project "ETIC: Einstein Telescope Infrastructure Consortium", the University of Perugia - Department of Physics and Geology, leads the design and construction of the CAOS laboratory (Center for Applications on Gravitational Waves and Seismology). CAOS will be the infrastructure in which the mechanical suspensions for the main optics of the future third-generation European gravitational wave observatory, called Einstein Telescope (ET), will be studied and characterized, on a 1:1 scale. The new ET interferometric detector will increase the sensitivity and extend the observation band of the current Advanced Virgo Plus (AdVPlus) and Advanced LIGO detectors to low frequencies. A similar project, called Cosmic Explorer, is being led by the LIGO Scientific Collaboration (LSC).
The object of this contract is the realization and supply of the following services:
• Design of the Suspension and Installation Scaffolding in order to define in detail the requirements of the system to be implemented.
• Construction, Assembly of Seismic Filters, Storage, Transport and Installation at CAOS of N. 2 Suspensions (complete with electrical wiring and front-end electronics)
• Construction, Storage, Transport and Installation at CAOS of N. 2 Scaffolding.
