Structural engineering for the replacement building of the administration at the Fritz-Philippi-Schule, Breitscheid

The district committee of the Lahn-Dill district represented by the building department - schools is responsible for schools according to the Hessian School Act. In this function, he is planning a replacement building at the Fritz Philippi School in Breitscheid.

The Fritz-Philippi-Schule is a primary, secondary and secondary school with a special needs level and designed for around 350 pupils in 17 classes. In recent years, large parts of the school complex have already been renovated.

The current administration building with auditorium without basement is located in the south-western area of the school grounds and was classified as not economically restorable due to static investigations and settlements in the building and is to be replaced by a new building.

In addition to the administrative use, rooms for all-day care with a canteen and serving kitchen, recreation and multi-purpose rooms/auditorium are to be created in the replacement building. Due to the limited space available on the school grounds, the replacement building should preferably be two-storey with a target size of approx. 1,410 m² GFA. The present planning services of the structural design are issued as a step-by-step order. It is intended to initially commission work phases 1 to 4 for the overall measure.
