The procurement of a four-legged zoomorphic mobile robot is intended to create the prerequisites for the development, modification and exemplary expansion of a semi-autonomous, highly mobile multi-sensor robot platform for occupational safety.
The mobile robot platform is to be used in current research projects in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI), human-robot interaction and digitized support of risk assessments in an ergonomics context. This should be done both in the laboratory and in the field (industrial environment, construction sites, warehouses, etc.). For this purpose, the typical characteristics of four-legged mobile robot platforms are to be used, such as:
- Transport of workpieces or the assembly of machines
- General transport activities as well as pilotage or cleaning activities
- Move in unstructured environments and on different surfaces
- Movement over stairs (climbing stairs)
- Remote inspection, maintenance or inspection of machinery and equipment
- Securing, inspection or documentation of buildings, land or construction sites
- Basic tasks of robotic systems such as orientation, wayfinding and safe movement in the terrain, gripping or manipulating
- Use in environments hazardous to humans
