The Hanseatic city of Buxtehude intends to supplement the school center South, consisting of 3 independent schools (Hauptschule Süd, Realschule Süd and Gymnasium Buxtehude Süd), with a new extension, as well as to refurbish the existing sports hall and extend it with another 5th hall section.
The background is the reintroduction of the Baccalaureate after 13 years (G9). As a result of this, and as a result of the shared rooms of the three schools, the grammar school and the other two schools have an increased need for general classrooms, subject-specific rooms and a library. The new building is to create a self-study center for all students.
The following services are advertised:
- Object planning building acc. § 34 HOAI 2013 (gradual),
- structural design acc. § 51 HOAI 2013 (phased),
- technical equipment acc. § 55 HOAI 2013 (phased),
- Perform a "phase zero".
For details see section II.2.4).
Content objective
Due to the common use of the 3 schools and the reintroduction of G9, it will be necessary to remedy the lack of space and create a sustainable modern education location. Synergy effects, including the creation of a new library in the new building, are to be used. To determine the space requirements, pupil numbers were calculated for all three school types and the specific need for general classrooms and subject rooms was determined.
Due to an enormous growth in the last years already 4 teaching containers had to be set up for the Gymnasium Buxtehude South, in order to meet the space requirements.
In the implementation of the measures, the smoothest possible school operation is an important goal.
Subprojects:
1) new building
The additional classrooms can not be completely created in existing buildings in the present structure. Within the framework of a preliminary investigation, a variant (location concept 3a) was considered by the office Dreischoff & Partner Planungsgesellschaft mbH, Braunschweig / Verden at the current container location, which, however, could not be realized within the building limits.
The Hanseatic city of Buxtehude intends to work out a concept that has been agreed with the schools on the basis of pedagogical requirements. This should be done in the context of a so-called phase zero process. As a result, a sustainable content and spatial concept at the interface of pedagogy and architecture should be developed. Therefore neither the phase zero nor the design phase following the design phase, the results of the feasibility study or the solution proposed within this procedure (offer phase) are binding;
2) Modifications in the inventory
Part of the additional room program required can be made available in the existing buildings. It is important to pay attention to an organizational optimization of the individual school types. The reorganization in the existing buildings is to be examined in addition to the new building measure. Initial considerations are already in place, but should be questioned again in the context of the phase-zero process;
3) Extension of the sports hall by a fifth part of the hall
Already in 2011, a feasibility study on the expansion of the sports hall to a fifth hall part by a specialist planner was created. The requirements of the school are already taken into account.
The size of the fifth part of the hall should correspond to that of the hall part 4,
- the equipment room should correspond to the hall parts 1-3,
- all hall parts are to be connected by double-winged doors,
- there should be additional barrier-free sanitary facilities.
4) Sanieurng the sports hall
The extension plans to renovate the existing warehouse.
- the entire hall (Halls 1-3 and 4) receives a uniform LED lighting,
- light strips have to be added for optimized natural lighting,
- It is a heat supply concept for the entire hall to create. Whether the existing systems can still be used, must be checked.
The following budgets are planned for the subprojects:
Subproject 1:
- KG 300 (gross): 4 691 809 EUR,
- KG 400 (gross): 1 397 418 EUR.
Subprojects 2 and 4:
- KG 300 (gross): 973 500 EUR,
- KG 400 (gross): 379 500 EUR.
Subprojects 3:
- KG 300 (gross): 1 210 829 EUR,
- KG 400 (gross): 237 459 EUR.
A completion of the new building is aimed at the end of June 2022. Commissioning and collection is to take place during the summer holidays.
