The Trust is seeking to arrange to have in place a "committed" working capital facility from 1.12.2012. The exact value of the working capital facility will be determined in accordance with the limits placed on NHS Foundation Trusts by Monitor, the Independent Regulator.

The current limit is that such a facility must not normally be greater than 30 days operating expenses. The current arrangement provides for a working capital facility of 14 000 000 GBP.

Following the transfer of Community services from NHS Wiltshire the new arrangement is likely to be in the range of 14 000 000 GBP – 18 000 000 GBP.

The facility will be required for a two year period commencing 1.12.2012 with the Trust having an option of two further 12 month extensions.
