The purpose of this seismic acquisition system is to investigate the bedrock and near surface in the Baltic Sea. This will include recording reflections from within the bedrock sequence to investigate the geometry of potential reservoirs for the storage of CO2, as well as imaging faults (fractures).

The Geological Survey of Sweden (SGU) want to acquire a marine seismic source system.

The system which is offered for this procurement shall contain all components necessary to deploy, operate and maintain the airgun source. Furthermore, all components which will contain or transmit compressed air must be of high quality and designed to safely handle air pressures anticipated during operation of the source.

This public procurement is aimed for the signal source system. The signal recording system will be announced in another procurement.
