Domestic, general, hazardous and miscellaneous waste management and minimisation services.

Management and Minimisation Service for the Trust, which is actively seeking to reduce its land-fill tonnages by using a comprehensive range of recycling and recovery technologies.

The aims and objectives of the contract are as follows:

(i) improve the overall waste management services on site;

(ii) minimise risk of infection;

(iii) protect public health;

(iv) reduce the environmental impact and volumes of waste;

(v) contribute towards creating social benefits for the North West area;

(vi) provide the most economical return for the Trust by:

(a) reducing baseline waste management costs;

(b) delivering further savings through waste reduction;

The contract period will be for 3 years with an option to extend for up to 12 months, plus up to a further 12 months after the initial extension. The contract will be no longer than 5 years in total.
