The district of Ludwigslust-Parchim and the municipality of Vellahn intend to expand the K 18 in the course of a joint project in the course of the local thoroughfare. The planning of LP 1-4 is targeted for early 2023 to mid-2023, so that a qualified funding application can be submitted at the end of August 2023. The implementation of LP 5-8 and the construction are planned in two phases. The start of construction depends on the granting of the necessary subsidies for the municipal facilities pavement, lighting and drainage and is not possible until 2024 at the earliest.
