The contract is for framework agreements for the delivery, transport and spreading of lime for the de-acidification of acid water in lakes in south Norway, as well as the delivery of coarse lime/shell sand for liming in streams in some counties. The contract is divided by county into 8 sub assignments.
The contracts will be valid from when they are signed by the parties (planned in May/June 2016) up to and including 31.10.2017, with an option for an extension for 1 plus 1 year.
The sub assignments involve the following services:
1. Delivery, transport and spreading of lime from boat or helicopter;
2. Delivery and transport of sacks with coarse lime/shell sand for setting out in agreed places in the terrain or by roads (does not apply for all of the sub assignments).
A separate framework agreement shall be signed with the County Governor for each sub assignment. Call-offs on the contract will be made by a representative for the County Governor. The need for lime and the liming locations will vary from year to year, so the total amount of annual call-offs within the contract is therefore not set. In general, a gradually falling need is expected for lime and liming of lakes. All the stated lime amounts in the tender documentation are estimates and apply for 2016.
