The purpose of this contract is to contract research and development services to develop an emergency supply or energy backup system in the event of a failure of the electricity grid based on the generation and storage of green hydrogen, with the use of oxygen. The contracting is carried out by the CDTI in collaboration with the Catalan Institute of Health, hereinafter ICS, by virtue of the agreement signed between both entities on June 15, 2023, and published in the Official State Gazette on July 11, 2023, relating to the contracting of R+D services in the field of the development and integration of backup systems based on green hydrogen, for emergency supply and smart energy management in a hospital complex, specifically the Germans Trias y Pujol University Hospital of the ICS network. The aim is to contract innovative solutions, non-existent in the market, that can solve the public needs detected by the ICS, and that can be validated in a pre-operational environment provided by said Entity, specifically at the Germans Trias y Pujol University Hospital of the ICS network.
