The Medical Biochemistry Department at Rikshospitalet would like to procure 1 UHPLC.

The HPLC set-up must be suitable for the analysis of catecholamine metabolites corresponding to the set-up from Chromsystems (Reagent Kit for 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid (5-HIAA), homovanillic acid (HVA) and vanillin mandelic acid (VMA) in urine), biogenic amines in spinal fluid with electrochemical detection, as well as analysis of 5-methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF) and pterins with fluorescence detection. The detectors must have sensitivity down to 1 mol/L level, but at the same time be able to analyse analytes in high concentrations (up to 1 mol/L). The instrument must be robust for consistent routine use, have high capacity and have the possibility for method development.
