Planning and construction supervision for a sewage sludge drying plant, work phases 5-9
The Zweckverband Ostholstein (ZVO), together with the project partners Zweckverband Karkbrook (ZVK) and Stadtwerke Neustadt i.H. (SWNH), is planning the construction of a thermal sewage sludge drying plant at the ZVO site at Industrieweg 11 in Neustadt in Holstein.
The planned sewage sludge drying plant on the company premises at Industrieweg 11, Neustadt i. H. will be operated largely autonomously 24 hours a day in normal operation. The supervision and control is carried out by the ZVO Waste Division and the operational operation by the staff of the waste-to-energy plant (MHKW). These are highly qualified and trained power plant personnel who, after instructing the manufacturer, can take over the operation of the sewage sludge drying system.
The planned sewage sludge drying is also connected to the process control system (DCS) of the CHP. In this way, all data, as well as fault and maintenance messages, are permanently transferred to the control room of the MHKW.
Operating units:
BE1 Delivery of wet sludge
BE2 Intermediate storage of wet sludge
BE3 Drying wet sludge
BE4 Intermediate storage of dried sludge
BE5 Removal of dried sludge
BE6 Exhaust air treatment of the sewage sludge drying plant
BE7 Heat connection sewage sludge drying
