The object of the invitation to tender is the procurement of furniture for the Saimaanportti comprehensive school for the Contracting entity on the terms specified in this invitation to tender and its appendices.
The furnishings offered should match the coloring and style of the interior. The premises must form a versatile and flexible whole with the possibility of creative
solutions using versatile variable furniture in all areas of the building. Furniture should take into account ergonomics and users of different sizes.
The gross area of the building is 12,100 m2. The facilities are adaptable. The building is mainly two-storey and the structures combine wood and concrete.
The comprehensive school will have facilities for approximately 850 pupils and 120 staff members. The school's pupils are primary and secondary school pupils in grades 1–9. In addition, the building will have facilities for youth services and student welfare. The new facilities enable diverse evening and weekend use, both in terms of sports and handicraft facilities and classrooms. The lobby and stage spaces combined with the music facilities also make it possible to organize various performance and meeting events.
The preliminary date for furnishing is 22.1.-16.2.2024. The date will be specified during autumn 2023. The Supplier is not entitled to compensation if the date is postponed for a reason beyond the Client's control, e.g. the delay in the completion of the project's turnkey contract, etc.
The City of Mikkeli is building a new comprehensive school. The implementation planning of Saimaanportti comprehensive school started immediately after the City of Mikkeli and NCC Suomi Oy signed the kvr contract in early January 2022. The starting point for the design is a safe, healthy learning building that can be divided into natural functional parts, where it is possible to operate in many different ways in school, evening and weekend use.
Design:
The tenderer must take into account in its planning that the Mikkeli City Council has decided in its meeting on 16.3.2020 that the Southern Regional School (Saimaanportti comprehensive school) will be implemented as a hybrid concept, utilising the best properties of wood and concrete. Wood has been utilised as much as possible in the frame, façade and interior of the building as a surface material, as well as in complementary building parts and fixtures.
Reverse tendering:
The procurement will be carried out as a reverse tendering process, the so-called reverse tendering process. "French contract". The maximum price of the furnishings to be purchased and the related interior decoration included in the offer must be eight hundred and fifty thousand (850,000) euros, VAT 0%.
Based on the competitive tendering, one (1) supplier is selected. A separate procurement contract is concluded with the selected supplier, the draft contract is attached to the invitation to tender.
Objective of the acquisition:
The aim of the procurement is that the learning environments form a pedagogically diverse and flexible whole. In the implementation of furniture solutions, there will be
take into account the durability, ergonomics, ecology, aesthetics, accessibility, acoustic conditions, comfort, order and cleanliness of the premises.

The furniture marked with a dotted line in the school's floor plan is included in this invitation to tender. The furniture marked with a solid line was part of the contract and is not included in this invitation to tender.
The procurement includes the delivery, assembly and installation of the furniture from the request for quotation and its appendices in more detail
manifested itself. The selected supplier is obliged to carry out the delivery of the service and furniture to the extent specified in the tender documents without a separate
Charge. Exceeding costs will not be reimbursed unless a separate price has been agreed on a case-by-case basis.
The final colour and upholstery choices of the furniture are made at the ordering stage. The customer has the right to supplement or reduce the number of furniture ordered by +- 10% of the offered quantity. In the final order, the customer reserves the right to change individual products, colour schemes and/or upholstery materials if they deem it duly justified.
The Customer reserves the right, for a justified reason, to suspend the procurement procedure or not to accept any of the tenders submitted.
