According to the decision of the building authority (V 15 / 0387-01) dated 12.6.2015, the District Representative 2 determined that the school should be upgraded to a 4-speed facility at the primary school location. For this purpose, the creation of a connecting structure and the extension of an existing building, as well as comprehensive renovation and conversion measures were decided on the existing buildings.

In the course of the renovation, reconstruction, and expansion of the community elementary school Zastrowstraße, the existing electrical installation will be completely renewed.

The GGS Zastrowstraße in Mülheim ad Ruhr consists of 5 school buildings and a gymnasium.

The individual parts of the building come from different years of construction (from 1955 to 2006).

The following measures are planned as an overall measure:

- Component I (EGS): rehabilitation and extension,

- Part II (EGS): demolition and new construction,

- Part III (KiTa): rehabilitation,

- Component IV (OGS): extension,

- Component V: (KGS): rehabilitation,

- Component VI (gym): rehabilitation,

- Part of this design is only the early creation of the energy center in component I (EGS).
