The city of Löhne intends to commission the specialist planning services for the development and implementation of the renovation and conversion concept at the Löhne station building into a house for culture and encounter within the meaning of the NRW funding programme "Third Place".

The design concept results from the winning result of a planning competition held and completed in advance.

The contract to be awarded includes the specialist planning services of structural design (according to §51 HOAI), as well as, in addition to the basic services to be provided, the special service of participation in the supervision of the execution of the structural interventions during conversions and modernizations within LPH 8.

(The other specialist planning services required for implementation are advertised separately from each other.)

In order to make the building future-oriented, various conversion measures are required. For the resulting interventions in the static construction, the existing construction systems must also be determined and checked accordingly under the aspect of the age of the building and, if necessary, necessary replacement measures must be designed.

In addition, for the implementation of the new energy concept, the building technology will be comprehensively renovated, supplemented by the use of renewable energy sources. This in turn, as well as the implementation of accessibility, results in extensive breakthrough and slot planning with corresponding static tests and solution elaborations.

Construction is scheduled to start in autumn 2024. The preliminary construction investment costs (KG 300 + 400 according to DIN 276) for the measure are estimated at approx. 7.5 million euros (gross).
