Description:
Resonance Sextupole Power Converters - Copy

The heavy ion synchrotron SIS100 is an essential part of FAIR. The resonance sextupole magnets will be part of this SIS100 synchrotron. Six identical special power supply units with the requirements listed below are required to power the magnets.

Power section of the current-regulated power supply unit:

The output current can be increased up to 775A, with an absolute accuracy of 1 x 10-4 * IN. The maximum output voltage is approx. 420 V. The input voltage of the power supply is 400V AC.

Control part of the power supply unit:

The regulation takes place by means of an ACU (Adaptive Control Unit), regulation system and a high-precision DCCT current measurement. These components are provided by the client. The integration of ACU and DCCT is the job of the contractor.

Coaxial power cable:

The magnets are each supplied with 2 coaxial cables, each 2 x 185 mm 2 Copper cross-section connected. Provision of the cables, cable laying and cable connection is carried out by the client.

Development, production and delivery including final test of the power supplies described above.
