The subject of the tender is the implementation of external quality control services at the state implementation organization GIZ GmbH.

The federal government commissions the federally owned Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ) to carry out bilateral technical cooperation development projects. As part of an annual external quality control (EQ), the BMZ checks how GIZ is complying with the specifications of its client BMZ for the planning and implementation of projects financed from the budget title for technical cooperation (Chapter 2032, Title 89603). At the same time, the external quality control is intended to show the client the need for improvement in relation to the standards of GIZ's internal quality assurance and management tools, if they are not clear, appropriate or economical. The continuation of the external quality control for a performance period from January 2021 is the subject of this tender.
