Description:
Offshore Geotechnical Survey across the Main Site and Along the Export Cable Routes

The Codling Wind Park (CWP) is located off Codling Bank, 13 km from the east coast of Ireland between Greystones and Wicklow, in water depths between 7 and 30 meters LAT. The development is planned to incorporate an offshore substation(s), transmission infrastructure and individual wind turbine foundations and structures, and enables grid connection cables to the Irish coastline.

The purpose of the scope is to perform an offshore.

Geotechnical survey across the main site and along the export cable routes at Codling Offshore Windfarm that will include geotechnical boreholes with samplings and in-situ testings, seabed CPTs, seismic seabed CPTs, grab sampling and vibrocores.


Offshore Geotechnical Survey across the Main Site

Lot 1: Offshore geotechnical boreholes across the main site geotechnical boreholes with samplings, CPT testing, HPD and downhole geophysical logging approximate boreholes number: 15

target depth between 40 to 80 m below seabed.


Offshore Geotechnical Investigation by Seabed Means on Main Site and Along Export Cable Routes

Lot 2: Offshore geotechnical investigation by seabed means survey on main site and along cable export cable routes.

Offshore geotechnical investigation by seabed means will include approximately: 20 seabed CPT (from 3 up to 35 m target penetration), 6 Seabed SCPT (seismic CPT), 15 vibrocores and grab sampling

— option 1: additional seabed CPTs;

— option 2: seismic imaging survey for boulder detection.
