Description:
6G applied research services for cyber-physical production systems in advanced manufacturing environments with high performance and automation demands

Research and Development services in 6G technologies, within the framework of the Coordinated Project "6G Technology for cyber-physical systems of intelligent production".

Applied research services on Artificial Intelligence technologies for advanced production lines with 5G/6G connectivity

By carrying out that lot 1 of the contractual subject-matter, the contracting authority intends:

1) Define industry 4.0 cases that require management of large volumes of data and incorporate artificial intelligence (AI) functionalities. Such use cases should be able to benefit from the capabilities of advanced 5G or 6G networks.

2) Development of the necessary service components to be deployed over the advanced 5G/6G network provided by the 6GSMART project.

3) Integration of the advanced 5G/6G network provided by the 6GSMART project with the Industry 4.0 services developed in a relevant validation environment, e.g. a manufacturing environment.

4) Contribute to the dissemination and impact of the project through the generation of content related to the demonstrations developed, the presence in fairs or congresses related to industry 4.0, or the internal or external exploitation of the results of the project.

Research services applied to the design of Digital Twins applied to manufacturing environments with 5G/6G connectivity

By carrying out that lot 2 of the contractual subject-matter, the contracting authority intends:

1) Explore use cases of advanced 5G or 6G networks with advanced manufacturing services aligned with the H2020 program; and define their KPIs.

2) Design of a Digital Twin with the aim of increasing the efficiency of a manufacturing environment with 6G connectivity. To meet the objectives of this lot, the design of metrological services that can enable Digital Twin technologies in manufacturing systems is contemplated; as well as the study of orchestration strategies and management of collaborative robot resources.

3) Contribute to standardization efforts related to 6G networks with advanced manufacturing services that make a Digital Twin possible. In addition, the dissemination of results at an academic and industrial level is contemplated, through the publication of research articles and attendance at relevant events. Knowledge transfer to market units will also be carried out, participating in strategies for the commercial deployment of the technologies developed.

Research services applied to the development of Digital Twins applied to manufacturing environments with 5G/6G connectivity

The purpose of lot 3 is the development of metrology 4.0 and quality control services that have been validated on 5G infrastructures in innovation projects.

By carrying out the aforementioned lot 3 of the contractual object, the contracting authority intends:

1) Explore use cases of advanced 5G or 6G networks with advanced manufacturing services, and define their KPIs.

2) To meet the objectives of this lot, the development of metrological services that can enable digital twin technologies in manufacturing systems with 6G connectivity is contemplated. The selected company must provide all the HW and SW elements necessary for the development and demonstration of the metrology service.

3) Contribute to the dissemination and impact of the project by generating content related to the demonstration developed of the metrology service, the presence in fairs or congresses related to industry 4.0, or the internal or external exploitation of the results of the project.

Research services applied to the study of multi-WAT solutions for private 5G/6G networks

With the realization of the aforementioned lot 4 of the contractual object, the contracting authority intends to cover the following needs and / or functionalities:

1) Research on the state of the art and design of Multi-WAT technologies, and their application to private 5G/6G networks.

2) State-of-the-art research and design of zero-touch automation technologies for private 5G/6G networks.

3) Research applied to the design and development of a data analytical system of 5G/6G private networks, with the aim of assisting the design of AI algorithms oriented to network automation.

4) Capacity for the deployment and testing of a private 5G/6G network, with availability of different radio technologies, provided by the contractor, and with the objective of evaluating and integrating the AI/ML and Multi-WAT solutions developed in 6GSMART-EZ.

5) Dissemination of results related to Zero Touch automation technologies and Multi-WAT technologies for the 5G/6G industrial ecosystem at an academic and/or industrial level, through the publication of research articles, white papers and/or attendance at relevant events. Transfer of knowledge to market units, participating in strategies for the commercial deployment of the technologies developed.

6) Validation, exploitation and dissemination of the results of the 5G/6G private network data analytical system and the multi-WAT system in a 6GSMART controlled laboratory environment.

Research services applied to the study of "Zero-touch" solutions for private 5G/6G networks

By carrying out that lot 5 of the contractual subject-matter, the contracting authority intends:

1) State-of-the-art research and design of Zero Touch technologies for private 5G/6G networks using Federated Learning architectures.

2) Research on the state of the art and design of TSN ("Time Switched Networks") technologies and their integration with advanced 5G wireless communications or 6G URLLC.

3) Research applied to the design and development of solutions to integrate 5G/6G networks with TSN systems using 5G/6G-TSN converters.

4) Research applied to the design and development of a Federated Learning architecture to support the use of AI/ML in zero-contact automation processes.
