Liverpool Mutual Homes are seeking to appoint a consultant for the provision of Principal Designer Services to Liverpool Mutual Homes.

LMH seeks expressions of interest from suitably experienced suppliers to provide Principal Designer Services (the services) on behalf of LMH. The Reference for this exercise is DN107167 please quote this reference in all correspondence.

The Service required by the Employer is Principal Designer Services. Liverpool Mutual Homes are looking for the following when appointing a Principal Designer to deliver its service.

— Technical knowledge of the construction industry, relevant to the types of project being undertaken. For example; Refurbishments, Developments and Adaptation Works;

— An understanding of how health and safety is managed through the design process;

— The expertise to be oversee health and safety during the pre-construction phase of the project and the on-going design;

— The confidence to challenge current working practices and processes in order to improve;

— Have the ability to influence and engage with stakeholders;

— The knowledge, confidence and ability to chair CDM design workshops and meetings, where necessary.

This is a competitive procurement conducted in accordance with the Restricted Procedure pursuant to the Regulations. LMH will appoint the successful provider on the basis of Most Economically Advantageous Tender (MEAT) following the Pre Qualification Stage of the exercise, where it is envisaged between 5-8 suppliers will be shortlisted and therefore invited to tender.

The contract will be for a minimum term of 24 months, with 2 optional annual extensions of 12 months each to Liverpool Mutual Homes.

The provision will be awarded using an NEC Professional Services Contract.
