The city of Ribnitz-Damgarten is planning to transform the former military airfield Pütnitz into the "Amber Resort Pütnitz" for tourist use. In the run-up to the conversion, the partial dismantling of the existing building fabric and surface sealants, the remediation of existing underground contamination and the clearance of the designated suspected explosive ordnance areas on the airfield site are planned.
The Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Ammunition Disposal Service has designated various suspected explosive ordnance areas (KMVF) on the basis of various causation scenarios.
The explosive ordnance reconnaissance and clearance concept initially provides for a targeted exploration and clearance of the designated suspected explosive ordnance areas by means of digital area survey and individual point clearance in conjunction with volume clearance for safe subsequent use. However, as a result of an ongoing clearing campaign in 2023, the procedure according to the clearing concept will be slightly adapted and surface sounding will be kept to a minimum due to strong disturbances caused by local conditions.
The specification of the explosive ordnance detection and clearance measures to be carried out here is the establishment of the freedom of explosive ordnance on all KMVF handed over by the AG / FBL in order to ensure a safe civilian reuse of the former airfield. In the course of this call for tenders, this concerns KMVF 5, 8, 9, 10 and 26. Due to construction constraints, it is possible that these KMVF will be supplemented by parts of KMVF 11, 12 and 19 at the request of the client. It
It should be borne in mind that the KMVF are further subdivided. The unique numbering of the individual areas (cf. Appendices 2.1 – 2.3) is transferred digitally when the contract is awarded and is the basis for billing.
