The service, consisting of the complex of socio-welfare services and included among the essential levels of services, is an integral part of the system of offering services and interventions welfare provided by ATS No 6, whose assessment of access requirements is attributed to the professional social service.

The service, whose general objective is to encourage the maintenance of the state of well-being of the beneficiaries, is aimed at encouraging the stay in the normal living environment and in the social context of reference, of persons in conditions of partial or total non-self-sufficiency, to reduce the need for recourse to residential facilities, as well as to promote the responsibility of the family and to support it in the care work also encouraging the use of formal and informal resources present in the territory and to improve the quality of life in the field of family and social relations.

The service is aimed at:

— promote the stay in their home and in the social context of the assisted person, through a specific support aimed at the care of the person, the care of the living environment and the external social context, in order to stimulate the recovery and/or maintenance of the condition of users,

— counteract the use of improper forms of residential interventions, with a view to the appropriateness of the interventions by supporting the remaining capacity of autonomy of the person in their own living environment and of foster any protected resignation through the accompaniment in the recovery path,

— support the family in the care work, also by encouraging the use of formal and informal resources present in the territory and to improve the quality of life, competing to make effective the right to all to the full development of personality, in the context of family and social relations,

— foster, in compliance with the principle of self-determination of the person, the network of family and social relations, in order to prevent or reduce the risks of isolation and marginalization, acting in preventive terms with respect to the chronicization of forms of care need. and situations of dependence and social isolation.
