With the present tender process DLR intends to purchase an additional cockpit module to be integrated into the existing Air Vehicle Simulator (AVES). The cockpit module is primarily needed for flight test preparation with DLR’s new flying test bed ISTAR (In-flight Systems and Technology Airborne Research), which is a modified Falcon 2 000 LX aircraft. The AVES ISTAR Cockpit will be operated in the AVES fixed-base and motion simulators. It shall be planned and build up by the supplier consisting of a fully equipped cockpit replica of the ISTAR aircraft. Together with the cockpit an operator cabin shall be delivered to DLR’s site in Braunschweig, Germany and integrated on a common base frame fitting into the AVES infrastructure. The base frame shall provide all mechanical and electrical interfaces to the existing Roll-on Roll-off system. Further simulation components like visual system, motion system, dome, access bridge, etc. are not part of this tender process.

The bidding procedure will be carried out as a negotiated procedure with a call to participate according to section 17 VgV.
