The working group is planning the expansion of the Ebert School in Kamp-Lintfort. Originally, the expansion was planned to be implemented in 2 construction phases. The planning services for the 1st BA have already been commissioned. In the course of planning, it turned out that the expansion in two construction phases was not structurally feasible and that implementation in a joint construction phase was the more economical solution. For this reason, the planning contracts were terminated in accordance with §132 GWB. The entire project is to be carried out in one construction phase.
The Ebert School is a three-tier primary school in the old settlement, a former mining settlement in Kamp-Lintfort.
The main building was built in 1922. The extensions “Rectorenwohnung” and “Caretaker's Apartment” date from the following years and are now used by the administration and the open all-day. The site has undergone several expansions over time. A toilet building was added in 1979, the gymnasium in 1983, a pavilion in 1989, the canteen in 2004 and container classes in 2006.
As part of its school development planning, the city of Kamp-Lintfort wants to adapt the school to the changing demands of everyday school life.
The specialist office has therefore carried out a feasibility study in which the space requirements as well as other design and pedagogical parameters were clarified and a budget was set. The results of this feasibility study now serve as a basis for further planning.
The former rector's apartment and the pavilion classes are to be demolished and replaced by a three-storey extension with areas for administration, classrooms and differentiation areas as well as sanitary areas and an elevator. The feasibility study by the architectural firm Kersting + Gallhoff, which serves as the basis for the planning, is Annex 2 to this contract.
The planning is to be based on the Cologne school building guideline with its specifications for use and space. In a target/actual comparison, the space deficits of the inventory were mapped as part of the feasibility study and solutions for optimization were developed. Aspects such as design, pedagogy and building operation should ideally be considered equally.
The planning services for the MEP planning in the ELT area are awarded to an engineering firm in a VgV procedure. The services for object planning as well as specialist planning TWP and TGA-HLS are also tendered in VgV procedures.
