Nesodden municipality needs to strengthen its drinking water supply. The municipality has an existing water line running from Bærum to Nesodden, but the transport capacity will soon be insufficient. The project involves laying a new line between Rolfsbukta in Bærum municipality and Varden in Nesodden municipality. At Nesodden, the water line will first be brought ashore at Flaskebkk wharf, where a pressure boosting station is planned. The station will be established in connection with contract 02 - Land-Based works From Flaskebekk wharf, the water line is to be laid further to Kavringstrand and tied into the water line that goes out to sea in connection with contract 02. In addition to the water line, a pump waste water line will be laid from Flaskebekk to Kavringstrand. The existing water line from Bærum will also be replaced due to the planned construction of new leisure facilities, which will conflict with the line.

The procurements includes:

- Establishment of a 400 mm PE sea line for water from Rolfsbukta at Fornebu to Flaskebekk wharf and on to Varden. Demands may be made for flushing in trawl zones, and SESU-XL pipes are therefore described in these stretches.

- Establishment of a 140 mm PE sea line for waste water from Flaskebekk wharf to Kavringen pst. Demands may be made for flushing in trawl zones, and SESU-XL pipes are therefore described in these stretches.

- Splicing and conversion of the existing 250 mm PE sea line for water which is currently located in Fornebukta and which comes into conflict with the new planned leisure island. Since regulation of the leisure island has not been adopted by Bærum municipality as of June 2022, rerouting of this section may be withdrawn from the project. If the conversion is carried out, the construction contractor requires that this be done after the new transport system has been established, i.e. that both E01 and E02 must be completed.

- Landing with excavation at Flaskebkk wharf at Nesodden to the interface marked on the drawing.

The works are put away in General contracting in accordance with NS 8405 with minor additions and changes as stated in the tender documentation in annex 01. The project is to be carried out as a construction contract based on NS 3420 (202201) post description, annex 02.

Assessing the value of the procurement is considered to be difficult in light od the current uncertainty in the market due to, among other things, inflation, fluctuating material, energy and fuel prices and the generally uncertain global situation caused by the war in Ukraine. It is therefore assumed that the procurement may possibly exceed the EEA threshold value even if the client has previously been presented with a cost estimate well below the threshold value.
