Ekom21 - hereinafter “AG” for short - is the largest municipal IT service company in Hesse and is one of the three largest BSI-certified municipal IT service companies in Germany.
The approximately 500 members in Hesse and other customers nationwide include around 29,000 end users from local governments and other public institutions, such as counties, cities, municipalities, municipal companies, special-purpose associations, institutions, hospitals and homes. In the state sector, Ekom21 serves numerous state associations, ministries and regional presidents.
ekom21 maintains its central printing centre in Kassel. The print volume (approx. 65 million pages p.A.) is currently handled on 2* OCE Variostream laser printing systems and 2* Canon Colorstream CS3000 colour ink blasting systems.
The purchase of the printing system is put out to tender in a negotiated procedure with a participation competition.
The two Variostream printing systems are to be replaced by a new duplex printing system based on full-color inkjet, regardless of how the functionality is achieved (2 separate or one compact system).
The new printing system must be followed by a roll-off system and a roll-up system. The printing system should be able to be used both as a simplex and as a duplex system. In the future, all post-processing will take place offline from the printing system, i.e. printing will take place from roll to roll.
For the duration of the maintenance of all components (printing systems and preparation or follow-up), a central contact person responsible for the bidder must be named after completion of the award procedure.
The date for the productive use of the printing lines is 13 April 2023. Productive use must be guaranteed by this date, as certain scheduled work has to be carried out via these printing lines.
As part of the bidding phase, it is intended to carry out a sampling, a viewing appointment of a project and a measurement.
