Acquisition target

The service that is the subject of the procurement concerns the transport of meals and food products in the area of the City of Orimattila for the years 2023-2024, in addition, the service provider has the possibility of a 1-year option year.

The routes are located picked up from the production kitchen and delivered to the interior of the service kitchens of schools and daycare centres.

Description of acquisition

The transports include the transport of hot and cold food, frozen foods and other food products packed by production kitchens to units operating in the Orimattila city area. The client's transport boxes on routes C and D. black thermoboxes 650 × 400 × 300 mm, as well as Cambro modules on wheels on routes A and B (520x690x1370 mm in size), so on these routes the transport vehicle must have a stern pallet lift.

Meals are offered daily to 3000 diners at approximately 20 locations. During the contract period, there may be changes in the number of meals, either in the form of additions or deductions. The service provider can decide on the order of the transport locations in the given time window.

There may be changes in the number of delivery destinations on the routes. The Customer reserves the right to make route, delivery destination, and schedule changes during the contract period, these are always agreed with the Supplier separately.

Route changes can include both missed and new routes. The selected suppliers are required to have the flexibility to adapt to changes during the contract period. The price effects of these changes will be agreed separately.

Cold food refers to food that, in accordance with food legislation and in order to ensure the quality of the food, must not exceed +4 °C during transport up to the delivery point. Vehicles do not require refrigeration equipment.

Hot food refers to food whose temperature must be at least +65 °C during transport up to the delivery point in accordance with food legislation and in order to ensure the quality of the food. In addition to hot food transports, cold meal portions such as salads and drinks are supplied.

The transported foods include packaged food, liquid foods and dry foods.

Frozen foods can be included in all transports. During transportation, food should not freeze.
