This Invitation to Tender (ITT) outlines the Storage Racking Contract. This covers the preliminary and final design, supply, installation, protection, testing, commissioning, successful handover, with warranty, servicing and maintenance for the first year and options for future maintenance of the Racking system. The Racking system within this scope comprises the following:

— All racking to the Laboratory Quadrant areas wherever specified, including certain cleaners stores, Tissue Culture rooms, corridor storage, supply rooms, and additional areas as may be defined by the scientific staff.

— All racking for the Biological Research Facility (BRF), including Bulk Stores and Cleaners stores as defined by the requirements of the BRF staff.

— All racking to other shared areas, storerooms, cleaning cupboards, plantrooms and ICT areas as defined by the requirements of the Department of Building Services.

— All racking (unless agreed) shall be of a standard kit of parts and not bespoke.

— The work as detailed in this Specification shall comprise the whole of the labour and all materials necessary to form a complete installation and carry out such tests, adjustments and commissioning as required to give an effective working installation.
