badenovaWÄRMEPLUS GmbH & Co. KG intends to expand the district heating network in several districts of Freiburg as part of the "Freiburg-West Heat Network" funding project. The total length of the planned network expansions is around 20 km and is to be carried out over the next few years. The present tender includes a section with a route length of approx. 1.8 km of the "Freiburg-Landwasser/Mooswald" district heating main line between the Landwasser combined heat and power plant at Wirthstraße 3 and the existing heating network in the northern industrial area, which ends in Achim-Stocker-Str. at the Europapark stadium. The entire district heating main pipeline has a route length of approx. 2.6 km, the remaining sections in Landwasser are already being executed as part of separate contracts or will be realized in the first half of 2024.
