Bergen Regional Health Authority, henceforth referred to as the Contracting Authority, intends to purchase 2 LCMSMS instruments for use at the hormone laboratory, the section for chromatographic methods and mass spectrometry. The instruments shall be delivered completed and, in the best possible manner, safeguard requests and requirements stated in the tender documents.

It is expected that the offered instruments have good capacity and are resilient.

The Contracting Authority also requests tenders for training and a full service agreement in the instruments' operating time. The offered equipment shall have at least 2 years guarantee for all parts.

The Hormone laboratory is 1 of 2 special laboratories in Norway for analysing hormones and a wide endocrinological analysing spectre. The Hormone laboratory has initiated a process for certification in accordance with NS-EN ISO 15189.

Approx. 400 000 analyses are ordered annually. Several of these analyses are made as a mass spectrometry method at the section for chromatographic methods and mass spectrometry. 25-hydroxide Vitamin D3 and 25-hydroxide Vitamin D2 (VD25D3 and VD25D2) constitute the highest volume with approx.100 000 analyses in 2015. A general increase of approx. 5 % in the number of analyses and analysing scope during the instruments' operating time are expected.

Vitamin D will henceforth in the tender documents be referred to as VD25. This includes both VD25D3 and VD25D2.

The requested instruments shall be used for clinical routine activities for analysing patient samples to qualitative analyses of VD25. The Laboratory has manning to handle and analyse the patient samples from 7:30 to 15:30, Mondays to Fridays.
