Hampshire Fire and Rescue Authority are looking to appoint a Design and Build Contractor to undertake the detailed design and construction phases of a new fire station on the existing site at West Ham Close, Basingstoke.

For information purposes the outline design will be undertaken by a design team appointed by Hampshire Fire Rescue Authority. The design team will progress the design through to Planning / RIBA stage 3 (old RIBA stage D). The successful Contractor will then be expected to undertake the detailed design and progress the scheme through to Final Completion. The Contractor will not be expected to novate over the existing design team.

The works will include but not be limited to the demolition of the existing fire station, the construction of an interim facility in order to retain an operational service throughout the construction phase, and the construction of a new fire station on the existing site.
