Description:
First ScotRail: provision of C6 II overhaul works on 26 x 3 car 170 Diesel multiple units including Relivery of 17 x 3 car class 170 Diesel multiple units.

First ScotRail invites tenders for the provision of class 170 C6 II works for 26 x 3 car class 170 units including Relivery on 17 of the units.

Anticipated unit downtime will be 4 weeks per unit.

Duration of works contracted with First ScotRail will be between October 2013 and November 2014 covering 13 Porterbrook units.

Note: Due to the First ScotRail franchise currently ending in November 14, the contract will include:

(a) a break option to terminate the contract if First ScotRail fail to win the franchise;

(b) a right for First ScotRail to novate elements of the contract to the relevant ROSCO or transfer to the next franchise operator (subject to ROSCO and franchise operator agreement).
