The Eastern Partnership Connect (EaP Connect) project sets out to create a regional high-speed internet network dedicated to research and education (R&E) across Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. EaPConnect will interconnect the national research and education networks (NRENs) in these six Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries and integrate them into the pan-European GÉANT network,
enabling scientists and academics to collaborate and engage in innovative, data-intensive international projects.
This procurement is the first of 2 for 3 of the 6 countries listed above that seeks to establish one or more contracts for capacity services at gigabit capacities accessing the GÉANT Network. GEANT limited is seeking solution proposals and pricing for layer 2, multiple circuits from 1 Gbps up to 3 Gbps in order to establish the EaP network. Each route is set out as a specific Lot and Bidders are invited to respond to one or more Lots.
Contracts that may be awarded from this procurement will run for a maximum term of 3 years.
It is intended that a subsequent procurement will follow for the other 3 countries.
