Waste collection and transport services for the residual fraction and bio-waste in the Besaya area

MARE is its own media and technical service of the Administration of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria and as such is entrusted by the Government of Cantabria for the management of certain services in the field of domestic waste. Within this task, one of the associated processes is the collection of the remaining fraction and management of transfer stations, services that are provided in 77 City Councils and 7 Transfer Stations in the region, respectively.

Eleven of the 77 municipalities in which MARE currently provides the service belong to the geographical grouping of the Besaya

MARE currently has contracted the service to the company OXITAL SERVICIOS, S.L., with the last extension, which ended on October 31, 2023.

The possibility has been contemplated that, in the future, a nearby municipality may be incorporated, considering a 20% modification on the PBL.
