The Authority seeks a service solution providing major analysers and reagents to deliver the large majority of assays for the Area Laboratory Services. The Authority will be seeking bids from suppliers to replace a number of Haematology, Blood Transfusion, Clinical Chemistry and Microbiology Analysers and will include the provision of reagents, consumables and maintenance.

Contract options for consideration will include Capital purchase, reagent rental and managed service agreements. This could be for all or a selection of the equipment and services required.

Tenderers will be expected to signify within the PQQ if they will be bidding as a primary contractor or as a third party.

Short-listing will take place throughout the competitive tender process with the first cut taking place after receipt of the pre-qualification questionnaires from potential providers. The Board also reserves the right to eliminate potential providers throughout the tender phase.

The contract duration will be for a period of seven (7) years with an option to extend in mutually agreed periods to a maximum of 7 years.

The anticipated annual value of the contract will be up to 800 000 GBP.
