Description:
Winter maintenance of county roads (part 2)

The subject of this contract is the provision of services in the field of winter maintenance of county roads (ZUD) in the Nowy Dworski district. The order will be carried out in the following communes: Zakroczym, Pomiechówek, Nasielsk, Czosnów and Leoncin. All works covered by this contract must be carried out in accordance with the guidelines contained in the technical specifications for winter road maintenance. Winter road maintenance is work aimed at reducing or limiting traffic disruptions caused by weather conditions such as winter slipperiness and snowfall. Winter road maintenance includes, among others:

1) removing snow from roads,

2) removal of winter slipperiness, black ice,

3) cleaning works after the winter season.

Winter road maintenance covered 211.21 km of roads under this contract. A detailed description of the subject matter of the contract is included in Appendices 1-4 to the Terms of Reference.

Services in the field of winter maintenance of county roads in the Zakroczym commune and part of the Pomiechówek commune

The subject of the contract in part 1 is the provision of services in the field of winter maintenance of county roads (ZUD) in the Nowy Dworski district. The order in part 1 will be carried out in the Zakroczym commune and part of the Pomiechówek commune. All works covered by this contract must be carried out in accordance with the guidelines contained in the technical specifications for winter road maintenance. The total number of roads administered by the Nowy Dworski District, on which the contract is planned to be implemented in part 1, is 80.86 km. Planned scope of work in part 1 of the contract: 1) snow removal and combating slippery conditions (roads):

a) snow removal (Contractor's equipment): 500.00 km,

b) anti-slippery conditions (Contractor's equipment): 1,350.00 km;

2) snow removal and slippery conditions (pavements): 9,000.00 m2;

3) snow removal from roads running through cities: 60.00 m3;

4) Heavy equipment operation (activated in exceptional situations):

a) równiarka: 60 r-g,

b) Charger: 60 r-g.

Implementation of services within the framework of the ZUD:

1. Combating slippery roads – elimination of slippery slush with a mixture of sand and salt 40% and black ice and ice with sodium chloride according to the following standards:

a) I standard: The roadway is cleared of snow on the entire width along with the adjacent road infrastructure (including: pavements, bicycle paths, bus stop bays, parking bays, paved shoulders). The roadway is sprinkled along its entire length;

b) II standard: The roadway is cleared of snow along the entire width. Roadway sprinkled in designated places, i.e. intersections with roads, with a railway crossing, sections with a slope of > 4%, bus stops, school areas and horizontal curves, in places designated by the road authority - on sections determining the possibility of traffic;

c) if necessary, the Contracting Authority reserves the right to eliminate slippery slush, black ice and ice along the entire length of the road, also for roads covered by standard II;

(d) Combating slippery slush or black ice (gritting) shall start at a distance of 50 m before the start of the hazardous site and end at a distance of 50 m beyond it. The average width of the control of slippery conditions was assumed to be 6 m;

2. Road Snow Removal:

a) I standard: roadway with adjacent road infrastructure (including: pavements, bicycle paths, bus stop bays, parking bays, paved shoulders), cleared of snow on the entire width, average width of snow removal – 6 m was adopted,

b) II standard: roadway cleared of snow on the entire width.

3. Preparation of sand and salt mixtures from our own materials.

4. Clearing snow and combating slippery pavements in urban areas - the technique of clearing snow from sidewalks depends on their length, width and amount of snow. To clear sidewalks, use plowed sidewalk snow removal vehicles or sidewalk snow clearers. It is unacceptable to deposit snow from the sidewalks onto the road.

5. Snow removal in justified cases, after prior agreement with the Ordering Party - snow removal only in cases of large amounts of snow on pavements, preventing pedestrian movement. Loaders, excavators, snow loaders should be used for loading, and dump trucks should be used for export. Snow must be disposed of in places agreed with the local authorities.

6. In particularly difficult conditions, in order to restore passability, the Contracting Authority provides for the use of equipment such as loaders, graders and allows for the introduction of deviations from the accepted standards.

7. Cleaning up sand at curbs in built-up areas after the end of the winter campaign.

Winter maintenance services for county roads in the Nasielsk municipality and part of the Pomiechówek municipality

The subject of the contract in part 2 is the provision of services in the field of winter maintenance of county roads (ZUD) in the Nowy Dworski district. The order in part 2 will be carried out in the Nasielsk commune and part of the Pomiechówek commune. All works covered by this contract must be carried out in accordance with the guidelines contained in the technical specifications for winter road maintenance. The total number of roads administered by the Nowy Dworski District, on which the contract is to be implemented in part 2, is 73.96 km. Planned scope of work in lot 2 of the contract: 1) snow removal and combating slippery conditions (roads):

a) snow removal (Contractor's equipment): 500.00 km,

b) anti-slippery conditions (Contractor's equipment): 1,120.00 km;

2) snow removal and slippery conditions (pavements): 9,000.00 m2;

3) snow removal from roads running through cities: 60.00 m3;

4) Heavy equipment operation (activated in exceptional situations):

The subject of the contract in part 3 is the provision of services in the field of winter maintenance of county roads (ZUD) in the Nowy Dworski district. The order in lot 3 will be carried out in the municipalities of Czosnów and Leoncin. All works covered by this contract must be carried out in accordance with the guidelines contained in the technical specifications for winter road maintenance. The total number of roads administered by the Nowy Dworski District, on which the contract is planned to be implemented in part 3, is 56.39 km. Planned scope of work in part 3 of the contract: 1) snow removal and combating slippery conditions (roads):

a) snow removal (Contractor's equipment): 500.00 km,

b) anti-slippery conditions (Contractor's equipment): 1,100.00 km;

2) snow removal and slippery control (pavements): 20,000.00 m2;

3) snow removal from roads running through cities: 60.00 m3;

4) Heavy equipment operation (activated in exceptional situations):

a) równiarka: 60 r-g,

b) Charger: 60 r-g.
