Giske Fire Service intends to procure a new fire engine (tanker) for delivery in 2020. The tanker shall be stationed at Valderøy fire station in Giske municipality.

Giske Fire Service intends to procure a new fire engine (tanker) for delivery in 2020. The tanker shall be stationed at Valderøy fire station in Giske municipality.

— the vehicle must be a tanker with room for a driver plus 1 person,

— it must contain a water tank with a capacity of minimum 8 000 litres and a foam tank with a capacity of 400 litres,

— it must be delivered with a front mounted water canon with an automatic foam system that shall be operated from the driver's seat,

— the vehicle shall have minimum 500 h.p., disc brakes on all wheels, powerful addition brake (retarder, etc.), 4WD and automatic transmission,

— all operating mechanisms shall, if possible, have instructions in Norwegian or symbols that are in accordance with Norwegian standards,

— the vehicle shall be registered as a lorry and comply with the prevailing regulations on emergency vehicles,

— the vehicle shall provide maximum safety for the crew. Conditions related to the health, environment and safety are emphasised. Further information of the content of the contract is stated in Annexes:

The upper contract value of the fire engine and additional equipment is approx. 2 400 000 NOK excluding VAT.
