- Lecos GmbH is a consulting and service company for information technology and telecommunications, which mainly operates on the municipal market. The largest customer is the city administration of Leipzig. As a contracting authority, contracts to be awarded are awarded in accordance with public procurement law.

- This invitation to tender includes the conclusion of a contract for the delivery of an IBM Power System including licenses for AIX and i5 as well as hardware / software maintenance for Lecos GmbH.
- The products are acquired through purchase. These are brand-new, original products intended for sale in Germany, neither used nor refurbished products.
- The existing system environment and administration is designed for IBM and the Lecos employees are trained for this manufacturer. The data center already has IBM HMC systems which are used for monitoring and deployment. From a technical and economic point of view, it is not possible to switch to other manufacturers.
- When the delivery of an IBM Power System mentioned in this tender is implemented, the IBM Power System currently in use is to be replaced. The exchange is carried out by means of a lifecycle in consultation between the client (AG) and contractor (AN).
- When the tendered IBM Power System is put into operation, the existing virtual instances (LPARs) and licenses (AIX, i5) are transferred to the new system. Further possible operating systems are listed in the specification of services.
- After delivery of the IBM Power System, appropriate hardware / software support is to be guaranteed for a total of at least 36 months by the contractor (AN) and carried out by the AN or the manufacturer IBM. The service begins with the commissioning of the IBM Power System and the complete migration of the existing LPARs. Furthermore, an extension of the hardware / software support should be possible after the 36 months. Furthermore, the identical hardware / software support is to be offered for 60 months.
