Reliable knowledge should be gained in order to determine the system with the most advantages for Kiel and a preferred network, for which further planning phases are then commissioned. A system definition is to be made as part of the train path study at the end of 2022 at the latest. In addition to this planning service, a simplified standardized assessment of investment in public transport in a separate lot will be put out to tender.
