NordForsk, henceforth referred to as the Awarding Authority invites to a tender contest regarding analyses of mobility of researchers in the Nordic Region (pattern of mobility, framework conditions, incentives and trends).
The Awarding Authority invites suppliers (research institutes, consulting companies, etc.) to submit tenders for execution of this project. The project’s paramount objective is analysis of mobility pattern among researchers in the Nordic region, including patterns/trends as regards to mobility and transfer of knowledge between the academic society and the business life in the Nordic region in order to identify motives for mobility and good Nordic examples as well as obstacles for mobility.
The study shall form the basis for assessment of possible joint Nordic initiatives for encouraging mobility of researchers and mobility between the academic society and business life in the Nordic region. Recommendations regarding potential Nordic initiatives should therefore be included as a part of the assignment.
The study shall be based on and continue the analysis «Mobility Patterns and Career Paths of EU Researchers”, which was delivered the European Commission in (DG Research) in 2010 (also referred to as the "MORE study"). The study shall focus on more in-depth analyses of the Nordic countries.
The European Commission’s follow-up to the MORE study, "MORE2" should also generate a basis for the project, in order to ensure synergy effects and avoid double work. For further information of the MORE study and MORE2 see www.researchersmobility.eu and www.more-2.eu.
