Description:

The Institute for Transuranium Elements plans the purchase of radiation protection monitors of the following types:

a) hand-foot alpha/beta contamination monitors for automated as well as for manual contamination controls with handheld probe;

b) handheld laboratory alpha/beta contamination monitors for control of surfaces and equipment with relevant probes and supporting stations.

These monitors are used in the controlled area in the laboratories and at the exit of the laboratories for early contamination controls. They are also used for legal contamination controls at the limits of the radiation protection areas. They may be installed in rooms with limited space. They must have a low sensitivity to external radiation and to variations in room pressure and temperature. The contract shall include training for in-house technicians.



Alpha/beta contamination hand-foot monitors: 20.

Alpha/beta contamination handheld monitors with relevant probes and supporting stations: 35.

Estimated value excluding VAT:

Range: between 440 000 and 660 000 EUR.
