Due to strong growth, increased requirements and the view of greater centralization, the relocation or new construction of the logistics center is necessary. The new logistics centre in Emstek (Ecopark) consists of a warehouse building with two fire compartments (Hall I and Hall II) and a building for transformer handling. Capacities and logistics activities are geared towards greater effectiveness and future planning.
In the warehouse building, the following shelving systems are provided for the various loading aids.
Wide aisle bearing system for IBCs and BigBags:
In the 1st fire compartment of the warehouse building, multi-place shelves for IBCs and big bags are stored on industrial pallets. For this purpose, an alley with a length of about 52 m and a capacity of 360 parking spaces is planned. The loading aids are IBCs with a plastic pallet measuring 1,200 x 1,200 mm and industrial pallets measuring 1,000 x 1,200 mm on which the BigBags are stored. The loading aids are stored 1,200 mm deep.
Wide aisle storage system for industrial pallets:
In the 1st fire compartment of the warehouse building, a 1-aisle multi-user shelving system with 360 storage spaces analogous to the storage area for IBC and BigBags is provided for the storage of large-volume articles on industrial pallets.
Wide aisle bearing system for lattice boxes and Euro pallets:
For lattice boxes and Euro pallets, a wide aisle storage system (multi-user system) with a total of 10 aisles and a capacity of approx. 5,088 storage spaces is planned in fire compartments 1 and 2. The loading aids are stored 850 mm deep. In order to achieve the greatest possible capacity on the available space, the rear shelf field is designed as an industrial truck passage. In addition, in the last row of shelves in the 2nd fire compartment, the shelf row is provided in such a way that several storage levels can be covered with chipboard, so that articles with small storage quantities and non-containerable articles can be stored. The shelves are designed in such a way that they can be installed on a transfer trolley at a later date. The floor of storage area 1 is prepared for the later use of a sliding shelving system with the necessary guide and running rails.
Cantilever and drum shelves:
Oversized articles are stored in cantilever racks, which are consistently covered with gratings due to the different loading aids. The cantilever racks have a capacity of approx. 63 lfdm.
In addition, drum shelves are intended for the assembly of cables on drums. The capacity is 50 compartments with a depth of 1,050 mm and a field width of 1,000 mm.
Gefahrstofflager:
Materials classified as hazardous substances are stored in the hazardous materials warehouse, a separate storage room in fire section 1 of the storage building. Depending on the type of container available, it is stored in pallet racks or shelf racks.
The pallet rack is provided with a capacity of 24 storage spaces and the shelf shelf with a capacity of approx. 76 lfd.m. The pallet racks are intended as a multi-user system with a shelf depth of 850 mm.
Operation of the different shelving systems:
After receiving goods, the articles are transported by reach truck from the goods receipt area to the shelving systems and stored.
Picking is carried out by high-lift picking vehicle or reach truck. After picking, the articles are transported to the order merging zone and partly to packing workstations for parcel service shipping.
Shelf shelves for order consolidation and pick-up:
In the area of the goods issue area in the 2nd fire compartment of the warehouse building, shelf shelves are kept for order consolidation and for the provision of pick-up orders. The total capacity amounts to approx. 126 lfd. m. Fachbod
